Side Project (Buffalo Skateboards)

So for a while now I've wanted to build skateboards but as I already got so much it's been on the back burner for a while. Well recently I have invested in a planer and found some very nice solid wood that would work for some trial boards . So on weekend my little brother and I tried our hand at it. It was a learning experience. I use to throwing things together in a day but with skateboards you got to wait. So in short our first attempt was a fail but also a learning experience. I'm going to let it get warmer before I try again. Again though we will try.

This is George (my little bro) laying out biscuit centers.
Cutting out our buscuit joints
George was giddy once we got them glued up. After this I stopped taking pictures for some reason but there will be more to come.

Reclaimed Wood Sliding Doors

This was a fun project that I got to build for some great folks. They had this cubby hole above their closet that they wanted to hide the contents. So they asked me to make some sliding doors from pallets. The doors were pretty simple to build it was the sliding part that was tricky. I ended up using some reclaimed steel pipes I got from work and some eye hooks to slide around the pipes. It was pretty slick when done. It was a solid fixture once in.

Lee's Display's

I picked up this shelving display job at the end of the summer. Here's what I've made so far. It's for a all natural living product line. Made from shipping crates, palletwood, and salvaged wood scraps. It was cool to see the first one get put in the store.
