The Bumble Bee
I don't know how many of you have seen Juno but the entro song to that movie has become a song for my wife and myself and in it theres a verse that talks about a bumble bee so I draw bumble bees for my wife all the time so I decided to make her a bumble bee plane
-The Wood-
-The Turn-
(I was going for a classic simple look)
-After the Jigsaw-
-Before the Drill Press-
-After the Drill Press-
(figuring out the holes was a new challenge )
-Put Together-
(I wanted it to look more smooth so I wood filled the cracks)
-All Smoothed Out-
(sanded down and ready for paint)
-Primed-
-The Bumble Bee-
My wife really liked it

Wooden Mallet (club)
What I began with was just a log form my wood pile
I just did a basic shape on my lathe nothing fancy figuring I'm just going to hit things with it
After I just stained it and wrapped the handle with hemp it's a pretty solid mallet
Final Product
Pirate People
For my sons first birthday I wanted to make him something special so I made him pirates to go with the theme of his bedroom
Coming up with designs and painting 13 pirates was not as easy as I thought it would be
The captain was suppose to have a hat but I decided ti wait til my kid doesn't rip things apart
The little guy on the left is the one who is suppose to be my kid
My friend made this dog I just painted it I really like how it turned out
We have lost a few but this is what the lot of them looked like he really likes the suck on them and throw them

Tattooed Tiki
The block of wood
He looked to plain so I wanted to spice it up
To give it more character I decided to burn designs into it
I didn't like how it looked just stained so I sanded some off
The Final Stage
This is the first tiki I've ever attempted turned out alright
